Work Place Health
I am an accredited Work Ready Dietitian, which allows me to work with organisations to help promote health and wellbeing within the workplace. The Work Ready programme was launched in 2016 by the British Dietetic Association, to provide workplaces with expertise and services for all sectors and types of businesses.
There can be many obstacles to healthy eating within the workplace, including long working hours and limited breaks. This is something I can relate to due to working a rotating shift pattern for 10 years (including night shifts), where at times I found it hard to adopt a healthy eating pattern. Considering most of us spend more than half of our lives at work, it really is an important area to focus on to minimise the risk of long-term health conditions.
How can I help your organisation?
I can meet with you to discuss a range of bespoke services tailored to meet the needs of your workforce.

Back in 2017, as part of the Charnwood Borough Council holiday activity programme, I devised and delivered my own 2-hour sessions called ‘Fun 5 a day’. These were aimed at 3-8 year olds to increase knowledge around healthy eating using the Eatwell Guide. The sessions were very interactive and fun, including games such as Eatwell bingo, making tasty fruit kebabs, and designing pitta pizza faces. There was also an opportunity to taste some unusual fruits and vegetables.
If this is something you feel would be appealing to your organisation, please contact me to discuss further.
Another service I offer is help with the weekly shopping trip. It sounds like a simple task but these days there is so much choice and variety it can often lead to confusion, and not knowing what constitutes a healthy balanced diet.
